ABOUT GEORGIAN KICKS

Georgian Kicks was created to show how much fun can be jammed into one soccer session! In our sessions kids will be active and engaged for 55 minutes with no waiting in line for their turn to kick a ball. Instead sessions have been designed to promote physical literacy, comfort and confidence playing with a soccer ball, all while playing fun games that will keep them moving and having a blast!

Small group size allows for high engagement between coach and players. Players will be challenged appropriately with programming centered around the age and stage of the child. For players to learn to be creative, and gain confidence with the soccer ball they need an environment in which they feel safe to make mistakes, to explore and push themselves to learn new skills.

In addition to soccer technique, programming focuses on increasing players’ physical literacy. Physical literacy is about developing the fundamental movements that all children need such as running, jumping, catching, and kicking. Children who are physically literate will not only be more competent playing soccer, but will gain confidence in themselves as they move through life.

I have been lucky enough to work with Kaelyn as well as have her as a coach to my own kids. She is absolutely second to none when it comes to relating to children, engaging them by keeping the game fun, teaching them important skills they will use off the field, and also teaching them the fundamentals of the game. Kaelyn in fondly remembered in our house as an all time favourite coach and role model.

PROGRAMS

KICKSTART

U5-6 | Players born 2019/2020

The Kickstart program introduces the beautiful game of soccer to our youngest players within a pressure free environment. Players will be exposed to soccer by playing activities and games that are designed specifically to teach the fundamentals of soccer and sport movement at the beginner level. The goal of Kickstart is to grow confidence, develop movement skills, and build initial connection with sport as a whole.

u10 Development

U10 | Players born 2015/2016

Often referred to as the 'Golden Age of Learning' these players are now entering the Learn to Train stage. The U10 Development program will focus on furthering players' development of skills in a fun and challenging environment. We will work on expanding player's soccer techniques as well as general movement skills. Practices are designed to promote decision making and learning through doing! Practices are structured so that players move quickly between activities in a high energy environment. Small sided games provide the opportunity for players to practice the skills they're learning.

mini strikers

U7-8 | Players born 2017/2018

The Mini Strikers program is designed for youngsters just starting with their development. Set in a fun high energy and structured environment, players will learn skills such as dribbling, running with the ball, 1v1 attacking, passing, and shooting. Small-sided games (1v1, 2v2, 3v3) will allow players more time on the ball, and therefore more opportunities for development. Have fun gaining physical literacy and a love for the beautiful game with this introduction to fundamental soccer skills and body movements.
